ICC Is Urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau To Extradite Convicted Terrorist, Hassan Diab.

Toronto, Ontario – The Israeli Canadian Council (ICC) is urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to take action and extradite convicted terrorist, Hassan Diab, to France to serve his life sentence for the 1980 bombing of a Paris synagogue that killed four people and injured dozens.

The ICC is deeply concerned that Diab, who was extradited to France in 2014, was released on bail in 2018 due to lack of evidence. We believe that Diab poses a significant threat to national and international security and must be held accountable for his crimes.

As an organization that stands for justice and the rule of law, the ICC calls on Prime Minister Trudeau to act in accordance with the extradition treaty between Canada and France and ensure that Diab is returned to France to serve his sentence.

“We cannot allow terrorists to roam free and evade justice,” said ICC President, Ron East. “The victims and their families deserve closure, and the Canadian government has a responsibility to ensure that justice is served.”

The ICC urges all Canadians to join us in calling on Prime Minister Trudeau to extradite Hassan Diab to France and send a clear message that terrorism will not be tolerated in Canada or anywhere in the world.
