ICC Horrified By Swastika Carved Into Autistic Jewish Student’s Back On Yom HaShoah

[Winnipeg, MB] – The Israeli Canadian Council (ICC) is deeply disturbed and horrified by the news, as reported by StopAntisemitism, that a non-verbal autistic Jewish student in the Las Vegas area had a swastika carved into his back on the day of Yom HaShoah, a day of commemoration for the millions of Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust.

This heinous act of hate and violence against an innocent student is absolutely unacceptable and should be condemned in the strongest possible terms. The ICC expresses its deepest sympathies to the victim and his family and stands in solidarity with them in the face of this heinous act.

Antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination have no place in our society. It is imperative that we work together to combat and eradicate such despicable acts from our communities.

The ICC calls on all members of the community to speak out against hate and stand in solidarity with those who are targeted by it.

We must all work together to create a world free from hate, bigotry, and discrimination. The Israeli Canadian Council will continue to stand with the victims of antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination and will work tirelessly to promote tolerance, understanding, and respect for all people.
